My Kids

I don't have a nice pic of them together and here's what I have so far:

The pics were taken one morning. Hannah loves playing with his Kuya Lance and Lance doesn't mind if sometimes Hannah hits him na like the pic shown above. So far, Lance is patient with her and does not hit her back. I hope it will always be like that! They really look so cute whenever they play with each other. :)

Fashion

Whenever I go out with my friends, I often notice how fashionable they are compared to me. I often joke that I maybe a male during my past life since I really don’t know anything about fashion hehe! My friends know the latest trend, and were really good on how to mix and match their clothes with their accessories. I on the other hand always go for the classic style. I don’t even use accessories, I just wear a pair of earrings, a watch and a simple bracelet and that’s it. I really admire my friends for they really know the latest trend and where to get those. They even know jewelers that can provide cutting-edge designs at a very affordable price, just like Holsted Jewelers. They have wide variety to choose from that will fit whatever you’re wearing, from casual to formal wear. Plus they are very affordable and you’re assured of its good quality. I’ll start browsing the site, who knows, I might start buying from them soon!

Business Planning

Our company had our rest of year planning last week at Astoria Plaza. The management team spent two consecutive days talking about the plans for the next six months and some departments presented their plans until next year. Some presentations are quite exciting since these are new products while others are just the same and the sales teams just have to continue selling them. One topic we were all alarmed was when our colleague from the province presented a fake product that we were selling. They even put our company name and our ISO badge in their packaging. We already have an IPO for this certain product which means we have the right to arrest whoever is replicating it. I’m not sure how they’re going to do it but I think the department concerned is coordinating with different offices so they can arrest them.

Anyway, here’s a pic of me with good friends Vangie and Gen during the break. :)

Does This Mean I Am Going To Lose Weight?

That’s because the lower set of my teeth hurts like crazy and I can’t eat well. As mentioned here, I have braces again to close the gap on my lower teeth. I was not able to eat well during dinner last night and the same thing happened this morning during breakfast. I only get a small portion of the food since I can hardly chew it. As much as I want to eat more, my teeth hurt so much. Despite the pain, one advantage that I have to think is that having these braces will help me in losing weight.

Investment

A friend asked me where to invest her money aside from putting up a business. And I told her some people I know invests on stocks. And I recently learned from options express that there is a new software called SmartSearchXL to help you manage your stocks. Party Planning

I checked my calendar this morning and I realized it’s only three months before my little princess turns one. This made me think if I should begin to panic since there are major suppliers that I haven’t booked yet. I prepared a joint birthday celebration for the kids since Lance will turn 3 and Hannah will turn 1. As I checked my list, I was only able to book 3 suppliers, the venue, the host and the food cart. Hahaha! I still have to finalize the menu for our chosen caterer and also we need to decide the food for the kids. I also don’t have any idea what party favors to give to the kids and worse, I don’t even have a theme yet. Hahaha! I guess now is the time to panic! I’ll check my list at work tomorrow and I hope I can accomplish something. Good luck to me! :)

Thinking of Moving

I’ve been here in the company for a decade already and I think it’s about time to move on. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy working here and in my position I’m assured of continuous learning. But lately, there are some issues here at work that really bothered me. I cannot go into details for some of my colleagues read this and all I can say is I’m disappointed. And I’ve been thinking, maybe it’s about time that I move on. I can’t be a SAHM yet so I have to try checking the net for job openings. I really hope I can find one before the year ends. Wish me luck!

Wedding Bells

I have another friend who’s planning to tie knot early next year. This couple are adventurous and are beach lovers so I’m pretty sure they considered destination weddings in their plan. I really haven’t talked to them yet about their plans but if ever they’ll ask for my advice, I’d say they go for a beach wedding like the ones I saw in the net that featured Karisma hotels in Riviera Maya. They have very nice packages to choose from to fit the couples style and personality. This type of wedding is very intimate and gives attendees time to relax as well. I’m sure my friend’s going to love this!

Accident

Hannah, Lance and I played inside our room as soon as I got home from the dentist. Lance and I were playing with his toy cars and Hannah played along. We were having fun playing with the cars that I didn’t notice that Hannah tried to stand on one of the toy boxes. It was too late when I saw her cause she lost her grip and bumped her face on the edge of the box. I know she got hurt for she cried really loud and she’s so mad. I immediately picked her up, tried to calm her and touched her cheek. She continued to cry until she vomited. Her nanny tried to put ice on her cheek but she doesn’t want to, probably because it was too cold. I tried to calm her again and thank God she stopped. She then played again and this time I made sure she won’t go to the toy box again. :)

Braces

I visited my dentist after work today for her to put on my braces. Yup I’m wearing braces again. I wore one about 5 years ago and I couldn’t imagine that I have to wear one again after all those years. Well it’s actually my fault for I did not take care of my teeth before so they started moving again and created a space. It looked awful whenever I smile thus convinced me to put braces again. And so now that I’m wearing one, I promise myself that I’ll take care of my teeth once these braces are removed. On a positive note, I hope this helps me to lose weight for I have difficulty eating. I was not able to eat dinner much for my braces hurt. Hehe!

Studying Again

I had a chat with my cousin a few days ago. She graduated recently and was able to find a good job. But she told me that she has plans of studying again. Good thing she found in the net a school that encourages students to get a university online degree. She liked what the school offers and is planning to enroll soon. Capella University offers different graduate courses in different fields and serves thousands of students from different countries around the globe. Their program is really good for they encourage people to pursue their studies without sacrificing their time for work. I’m sure my cousin will enjoy this once she enrolls in this university.

Daily Routine

I seldom watch tv at home. My normal routine for weekdays would be waking up at 5am (the time when Hannah usually wakes up), play with her then leave the bed around 6am to prepare for work. Lance usually wakes up between 6:30-7:30am depending on what time he slept the night before. When he wakes up, I play with him for a couple of minutes then take a bath. I leave for work at 8am then come home by 7pm. When I get home, the kids are usually in the room na playing so I play with them again until it’s time to put them to sleep. And by that time, I’m sleepy na din so I don’t go out of the room anymore. I only go out if it’s time for dinner and that’s it. I don’t want to put tv inside our room and so I don’t get to watch shows anymore. If ever I want to watch a tv series, I just ask for copies from my cousin and that’s it. I just update myself by browsing the net or sometimes listen to my colleagues during lunch time. :)

Chuck

I can’t still get over with this series. I was able to finish season 2 a couple of months ago and here I am watching it again. I watched season 1 again last weekend and I’m on episode 10 again of season 2. I really enjoy watching this show. I find it light and yet entertaining. And I find it funny too! Haayy… I can’t wait for season 3. :)

Back to School

Children are once again back to school and parents are busy buying school stuff. Some also considers buying prescription glasses for those children who needs it. One mom I met said she’s looking for $ 8 Rx eyeglasses and good thing she saw Zenni Optical on TV!!!. She said the designs are good for children and are very affordable. And so High Five to Zenni Optical for these very nice glasses!

Thief

A friend told me that their house was almost robbed when they spent a weekend out of town. Good thing her brother lives in the same area and decided to check their house. She said her brother saw 2 men at the back door trying to open it but when they noticed him, the burglars immediately ran and passed by the vacant lot beside their house. They were not able to catch who those people were but were thankful that they did not lose anything. It’s really scary now because due to poverty, so many people resolve to robbing houses or worse banks just to have money. Haayy….

I remember when we were robbed before. Our family spent All Saints Day in our province and no one was left at home. We stayed in the province for four days and when we got home, our door was left unlocked. We immediately checked our things and when we got to the bedroom, all our things were on the floor, clothes, bags, documents, etc. Our jewelries were stolen including the rare coins my mom used as their arrhae when they got married. Even my uncle’s gun was stolen.

My dad was crying when we were fixing our things. He was telling us that it took a long time for him to get those jewelries and give to us and then with a snap all were gone. My mom was trying to comfort my Dad but I can see in her face that she was sad too. The stolen coins were given to her by my grandparents and I’m sure they are hard to find. Some may sell coins but these are often counterfeit. Only companies like Monaco Rare Coin will have those kinds of coins. They are trusted leaders and are known for having these kinds of investments including gold, silver and platinum bullion coins.

Anyhow, my friend’s recent experience made me more cautious whenever we leave the house. We make it appoint to tell our next door neighbor that we are leaving and if they can watch over our house while we’re gone. We also inform my SIL’s family since they live nearby.

Google Reader

It’s just yesterday that I started using Google reader. And I’m glad that my friends introduced me to it. Thanks to Mai who gave me her OPML file so that I won’t have to go through manual subscription. I just added the sites that I want to subscribe to that were not included in her list. I can now be updated as to their latest posts because of this and won’t have to blog hop from one blog to another. They’re all in just one site. Aliw no! I’m still organizing my lists and hopefully I’ll be able to finish all the feeds that I haven’t read yet. Google reader rocks!
